Aztec Clusters

Inside the game

Captured in the studio's own free demo on 11 September 2026. Nothing below is taken from a press release or another site — it is what the game shows when you open it.

The base gameA tall grid of six columns by eight rows, masks and gems packed inside a temple: here clusters of neighbouring symbols pay, not lines. On the left, two paid entries for the 1.50 FUN stake shown below — the Buy Bonus "from 150.00 FUN", 100× the stake, and the Wild Spin at 30.00 FUN, 20×. The sun disc in the middle is the Scatter.
Game rules, page 1The Scatter, a sun disc that can land anywhere but can also be dug up on an empty cell before it is refilled; three are enough to open the Free Spins. Below, the three dearest masks at the 1.50 FUN stake: the purple one at 180.00 FUN for fifteen symbols or more, the red at 120.00 FUN, the green at 72.00 FUN.
Game rules, page 2The paytable in detail, tier by tier, from five symbols to fifteen and above — eleven tiers per symbol, an unusually fine grain. At the 1.50 FUN stake, the purple gem runs from 0.48 FUN for five to 48.00 FUN for fifteen, the red from 0.36 to 36.00 FUN, the green from 0.30 to 30.00 FUN, the blue from 0.24 to 24.00 FUN. Doubling the cluster size multiplies the win by far more than two.
FeaturesThe end of the paytable, then the feature that gives the game its name: the Multiplier Area. Five identical adjacent symbols form a cluster, it is paid then vanishes, and the freed cell stays marked; if a new win occurs there, it takes a multiplier starting at ×2 and rising by ×2 each time. The multipliers of several cells within one cluster are added together.
Game rules, page 4The grid illustrated mid-cascade, a few cells already emptied, then the game's most singular feature: the Dig-up. When a winning cluster's symbols have gone but the empty cells have not yet been refilled, a bonus symbol can dig itself up there. The game has four — Wild, Scatter, Booster and Destroyer.
Game rules, page 5The screen that best shows what the game builds: a zone of six marked cells in the middle of the grid, carrying ×2, ×2, ×6, ×2, ×4 and ×2, and a Wild digging itself up on the left. Below, the Sticky Wilds rule — a Wild that lands stays stuck to its cell until the refill sequence ends.
Game rules, page 6The panel's opening page, where the studio places the game itself: a classic bonanza with refilling reels, but where the win comes from a cluster of five adjacent symbols rather than a line, plus the symbols that dig themselves up in empty cells. Then come the controls and the autospin settings behind the A button.
Game rules, page 7The five autospin stop conditions, then the Features section, which sets out the base mechanic: five identical symbols adjacent vertically or horizontally form a cluster, it is paid, it vanishes, the empty cells are refilled from above, and the process repeats within one spin as long as a cluster keeps forming.
Game rules, page 8The page that puts numbers on everything: the cell multiplier is capped at ×10 and the marks are cleared on the next spin — except during Free Spins, where they keep their value to the end. The Scatter scale is given in full: three give ten spins, four twelve, five fifteen, six twenty. And a dug-up Wild gains ×10 with every win it takes part in, up to ×100.
Game rules, page 9The last two diggable symbols, opposites of each other: the Booster upgrades every multiplier on screen then disappears, the Destroyer wipes out all the low symbols without paying them. Then comes the detail of the four buying options, which differ by the number of guaranteed Wilds — zero, one, two or three — and the Wild Spin, which the game itself calls very volatile, with a maximum win hit rate of 1/4600.
Game rules, page 10The page of the game's own figures: the ceiling is announced at 10000× the bet — the maximum win recorded on the sheet — then come the settings and the return to player, 97%, which is the RTP on the sheet. The game notes that the buying options declare the same 97%, with or without guaranteed Wilds.

The figure comes from bgaming.com, and the page is linked above so you can check it yourself.

BGaming states a high volatility for Aztec Clusters. Studios measure volatility on their own scales, so we report what the studio says rather than converting it to a scale of our own.

Maximum win

The ceiling announced for Aztec Clusters is 10,000x the total stake. A maximum win is a cap, not an expectation: it is the largest payout the game can produce, reached by a combination that the mathematics make rare.

How Aztec Clusters is built

The game runs on a 6x8 Cluster Pays grid. Its wins form through Cluster Pays (5+ symbols adjacent). Its mechanics are: Cluster Pays engine (5+ symbols adjacent), Multiplier Area (starts at x2, +2x per cascade, max x10), Dig-Up bonus symbols (Booster / Destroyer / Wild / Scatter), Sticky Wilds (up to x100 multiplier), Free Spins with multipliers non-resettants, Bonus buy from 100x to 800x, Wild Spin feature (20x ta bet, 1/4600 max win odds). A bonus buy is available. Aztec Clusters was released by BGaming in 2024.
