Crystal Clusters

Inside the game

Captured in the studio's own free demo on 11 September 2026. Nothing below is taken from a press release or another site — it is what the game shows when you open it.

The base gameA timbered mine gallery, crystals instead of reels, and a Buy Bonus sign on the left priced at 200.00 FUN for a 2.00 FUN total bet — 100× the stake. The flap open in the centre hides the grid but gives the measure of the game: the red crystal pays across eleven tiers, from 0.60 FUN for a cluster of 5 to 60.00 FUN from 15 up — every crystal added to the cluster counts.
Game rules, page 1The Scatter and the top of the paytable. The Scatter, the gallery entrance, pays wherever it lands but with an unusual constraint: only one per reel, and 3 are needed to open the free spins. Below it, the four dearest crystals, at the 2.00 FUN bet on display: the yellow stone climbs to 300.00 FUN from 15 symbols up, the blue one to 200.00, the pink to 120.00, the purple to 80.00 — and all of them fall back to between 10.00 and 4.00 FUN as soon as the cluster drops to 10.
Game rules, page 2The foot of the paytable, at the 2.00 FUN bet on display: the red, pink and green crystals, at 60.00, 50.00 and 40.00 FUN respectively from 15 symbols up, and at 0.60, 0.50 and 0.40 FUN for a cluster of 5. A hundredfold gap between the two ends — that is the slope the cluster mechanic imposes on every symbol in the game.
FeaturesThe Features section opens on the Multiplier Spot, illustrated on a seven-column grid. An L-shaped winning cluster is ringed in orange, and the cells it has already won on carry a red ×2 — the mark the feature leaves on the field, which grows with every new win in the same place.
Game rules, page 4The Multiplier Spot rule spelled out, and it is the heart of the game. A winning cell is marked; if it wins again it takes a ×2, then another ×2 with every new win in the same place, up to a ceiling of ×128 per cell. The multipliers of several cells within one cluster add together. The marks hold until the end of the refilling sequence in the base game, but during the free spins they hold until the end of the whole round.
Game rules, page 5The graphic demonstration of Cluster Pays, on two 7×7 grids set side by side. On the left, ticked in green, five purple cells touching edge to edge form a valid cluster; on the right, crossed out in red, the same number of cells linked diagonally does not count. That is the whole rule: adjacency is read vertically and horizontally, never on the slant.
Game rules, page 6The panel's opening page: the game introduces itself — a deposit of precious stones, lava splitting beneath the gems — and states its own threshold, 5 adjacent stones form a winning cluster. Then come the how-to-play and the autospin settings.
Game rules, page 7The tail of the autospin stop conditions, then the Features section in text. Cluster pays is defined without ambiguity: 5 or more identical symbols, adjacent vertically or horizontally, form a cluster that is paid and then vanishes, the empty spaces filling from above — and the cycle repeats within the same spin for as long as a new combination forms.
Game rules, page 8The page that puts numbers on the free spins, and the scale is finer here than elsewhere: 3 Scatters give 10 spins, 4 give 12, 5 give 15, 6 give 20 and 7 give 30 — five steps, against the usual three. The same numbers serve for retriggers during the round. The Buy Bonus paragraph specifies that changing the bet inside the purchase window also changes the bet in the main game.
Game rules, page 9The end of the payout rules, with the cap written in black and white — the maximum win is ×5,000 of the bet, matching the data sheet — then the page of official figures. The studio states an overall theoretical RTP of 96.5% and an identical bonus-buy return, 96.5%: buying the free spins therefore does not change the return, only the way of getting there.

The RTP of Crystal Clusters

Crystal Clusters is published with an RTP of 96.50%.

The figure comes from bgaming.com, and the page is linked above so you can check it yourself.

Volatility

BGaming states a very high volatility for Crystal Clusters. Studios measure volatility on their own scales, so we report what the studio says rather than converting it to a scale of our own.

Maximum win

The ceiling announced for Crystal Clusters is 5,000x the total stake. A maximum win is a cap, not an expectation: it is the largest payout the game can produce, reached by a combination that the mathematics make rare.

How Crystal Clusters is built

The game runs on a 7x7 grid. Its wins form through Cluster Pays. Its mechanics are: Cascades after every win, Cluster multipliers, Free spins (scatters/formations), Buy Feature. A bonus buy is available. Crystal Clusters was released by BGaming in 2025.
