Aztec Bonanza

Inside the game

Captured in the studio's own free demo on 8 September 2026. Nothing below is taken from a press release or another site — it is what the game shows when you open it.

The base gameThe base game as it opens, bet at $1.80: the grid is not full. The four corners of the stone frame are still walled up and only the central tiles carry symbols — carved slabs, gems, heart, club. The Aztec totem stands to the right of the grid; no purchase button is offered.
Game rules, page 1The pay table at a $1.80 bet, symbols paying left to right on adjacent reels from the leftmost reel. The red slab with the green gem leads at $4.50 for five, ahead of the blue and turquoise ones at $1.80, then the coloured slabs at $0.90 and $0.60. The golden mask is the Mystery symbol: it appears when the top left corner unlocks and at random during the free spins, and all Mystery symbols on screen turn at the end of the spin into one same paying symbol. At the foot, the game states a variable number of ways to win — each reel can hold up to six symbols depending on the state of the game, for a maximum of 7,776 ways.
Game rules, page 2The two mechanics that grow the grid. The TUMBLE FEATURE pays the winning combinations, removes those symbols, drops the rest and refills the gaps from above, until no new win appears or the free spins trigger. SYMBOL UNLOCKING follows on: the four corners are covered at the start of every base spin, and every second tumble opens one of them, each with its own effect — the top left corner reveals the Mystery symbols, the top right replaces up to three low value symbols with high value ones, the bottom left turns reels 1 and 2 into giant 2×2 symbols, the bottom right does the same on reels 4 and 5. Once all four corners are open and no tumble is left, the free spins are triggered.
Free spins rulesThe free spins page: the round is played on a full 5×6 grid with 7,776 ways to win and starts with 5 free spins. On every spin one of three features is drawn at random — MYSTERY SYMBOLS, which drops mystery symbols that all reveal the same paying symbol; SYMBOL TRANSFORM, which turns up to three low paying symbols into high paying ones; GIANT SYMBOLS, which places 2×2 symbols on reels 1-2 and 4-5 for the spin and all its tumbles. The panel states that the feature cannot be retriggered.
Game rules, page 4The figures page, under the MEDIUM VOLATILITY label the game puts on itself. Only the highest win is paid per combination on the same pay way, and winning ways are added together; all wins are multiplied by the base bet. The game states a theoretical RTP of 96.53% — a single figure, with no purchase variant — and bets from $0.30 to $240.00.
How to playThe controls page: plus and minus change the bet value and open the bet menu, the round button starts the spin. The three-line menu opens the settings, the three-chevron icon cycles the three speeds — normal, quick and turbo — the speaker mutes the sound, the "i" opens the information page. The CREDIT and BET counters switch between coins view and cash view with a click on their label, and the AUTOPLAY button opens then stops automatic play.
Settings menuThe settings menu described line by line: INTRO SCREEN, AMBIENT and SOUND FX each toggle separately, GAME HISTORY opens the game history page. Then the information screen, whose arrows scroll the pages and whose green cross closes it, and the bet menu, which shows the bet multiplier available and the total bet in both coins and cash.
AutoplayThe rules panel's page on automatic play, not the menu itself: it says autoplay is started by clicking the buttons showing the number of possible auto-spins, and that the SKIP SCREENS option auto-skips the feature's introduction and end screens after a short period of time.
